Janelle Heard LMFT

You Deserve to Feel Great. I’m Here to Help.

I believe in a holistic approach that combines evidence-based techniques with a deep respect for each person’s journey, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and supported every step of the way.

My Approach and Specialties

I am a mindfulness instructor, psychotherapist, mother, and an avid lover of the outdoors. I am deeply committed to supporting individuals affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Through a blend of mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) using the SAFE approach, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), I help clients move past their struggles, cultivate meaningful relationships, embrace the present moment, and set purposeful intentions for the future. I have a particular passion for working with individuals in early to middle adulthood.

My Background

I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from California State University, Stanislaus in 2013. I began working in the mental health field in 2014, while in my Counseling Psychology Master’s Degree program. I graduated from CSU Stanislaus with a Master’s of Science Degree in 2016. I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist practicing in the State of California, and a current member of California Association of Marriage Family Therapists (CAMFT). Fully certified in EMDR (SAFE approach), and a current member of EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). I am Level-2 Internal Family Systems Therapy Trained, and a member of IFS-Institute. Fully Certified as a Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults (MIEA) teacher.
